Hannover Messe, April 2007The Cluster of Excellence was presented on 16. to 20. April at the Hannover Messe at the joint stand of the Ministry for Innovation, Science, Research and Technology of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Parliamentary Evening, 17. October 2007
On 17th October 2007 the production in the high-wage country Germany was discussed in the Bavarian Representation in Berlin. In addition to the Cluster of Excellence representatives of BMW, Siemens and Infineon were represented.
10th International Aachen Welding Conference (IASTK), 24. & 25. October 2007
The Cluster of Excellence was represented at the 10th International Aachen Welding Confernce, where the participants had, besides the possibility of listening to a wide variety of lectures about the subject "Welding and Joining Technologies - Key Technologies of the Future" also access to a most informative exhibition.
Profitable production in Germany, 30. October 2007
The Industrial and Technology Committee of the Aachen chamber of commerce and industry invited on 30. October 2007 to a discussion of different approaches for profitable economic activtiy in Germany. Here, the Cluster of Excellence "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries" showed sustainable ways to survive global competition.
Strategy Workshop November 2007
The main topics that were discussed during the first strategy workshop in November 2007 concerned the thematic extension of the cluster super structure. A broad overview about the research challenges of all ICDs was given to achieve a stronger linking between all ICDs. Furthermore, the development of a common strategic course of action was discussed.
Plenary Meeting, 12. December 2007
At the Plenary Meeting on 12. December 2007 were the results of 2007 discussed and the need for action in 2008 defined.
