PROTECA

ProTECA's objective is the close exchange between scientific community and industry as well as the demonstration of the research competence available in Aachen in the field of integrative production technology. For this over 30 companies are merged to form the ProTECA-Club. In close cooperation with the Cluster of Excellence "Integrative Production Technology for High-Wage Countries“ ProTECA pools the available competence of the research centres and companies in various disciplines. This pooling forms a fertile basis for innovations, whose development ProTECA promotes to the point where they are commercially viable; small and medium-sized companies then market them in the Aachen region.

Ziel von ProTECA ist die produktive Kooperation zwischen Wissenschaft und Industrie  sowie die anwendungsorientierte Demonstration der Forschungskompetenz aus Aachen auf dem Gebiet der integrativen Produktionstechnik. Hierzu haben sich 30 Unternehmen im ProTECA-Club zusammengeschlossen. In enger Kooperation mit dem  Exzellenzcluster „Integrative Produktionstechnik für Hochlohnländer“ bündelt ProTECA die vorhandenen Kompetenzen der Forschungseinrichtungen und Unternehmen in unterschiedlichen Disziplinen. Dieser Austausch bildet eine fruchtbare Grundlage für Innovationen sowie deren Entwicklung zur Marktreife und Vermarktung durch ProTECA, insbesondere für kleine und mittelständische Unternehmen.
