Agoria Presentation, February 16, 2010
The Cluster of Excellence was presented to Agoria, Belgium's largest employers' organisation and trade association. Agoria is the partner of 1.600 companies in the technology industry. The federation's 230 employees provide the members with information, services and advice.
BiG Science - Architects working in the field of tension between "art and science", February 22 - March 26, 2010
As part of an unusual collaborative project between engineers and architecture students media room installations and experimental graphics were created.
Students of the Faculty of Architecture looked at the machines, methods and research issues of the Cluster of Excellence. Under the direction of Professor Thomas H. Schmitz two seminars in experimental and associative visual approaches to the instruments of production technologies of tomorrow were organized.
METAV 2010 - Youth Special, February 23 - 27, 2010
The cluster of Excellence was involved at the exhibition booth "Mechanical Engineer - Job with Power" with an exhibit. The aim was to improve the image of the machine tool industry and to recruit professions for this industry.

Colloquium for employees, October 2010
Results of ICD E - Technology Roadmaps - were presented and discussed in a plenary session of the colloquium for employees in October 2010 in order to adjust the technological strategy of the entire cluster of excellence. Moreover, the invitation of an external work-life-balance expert aimed to optimise the organisation of work in the cluster by means of a workshop with all employees.

The Cluster of Excellence was represented on the hybridica 2010. The hybridica revolves around the development and manufacture of hybrid components. It is positioned as a trade fair for suppliers and processors of hybrid components made of metal, plastic and ceramics.
