ICD B: Virtual Production Systems
A flexibilisation of production is associated with an increase in preparatory and planning activities. In order to resolve the polylemma outlined above, however, it is necessary to reduce planning efforts. Therefore ICD B »Virtual Production Systems« aims at achieving a high planning quality with reduced planning effort. This means, firstly, shortening virtual process chains, for example by integrating individual process steps and the associated tools, and, secondly, achieving an in-depth integration of the virtual and real world in order to ensure the implementation of the planning results in the real production system.
