ICD A: Individualised Production
Individualised production requires a high degree of product variability and product dynamics at mass-production costs. To achieve this, comprehensive concepts for designing all the elements of a production system, e.g. the product programme, the production processes and the resource structure are required. The goal is to realise one-piece-flow, in which customised products flow individually through product development and production.
ICD A »Individualised Production« is searching for answers, how the optimum combination and configuration of all the elements of a production system can be identified. On the other hand ICD A poses the question for the adequate production processes and production technologies, with whom a one-piece-flow at mass-production costs can be realised.
